DIRECTIONS

From Southern California: Take the 14 North to the 395 as if headed to Mammoth Lakes or Bishop. The Nine Mile Canyon Junction is past the turnoff for Ridgecrest. On Google Maps it is shown as being near Pearsonville & Linnie (see map).

Directions from Southern California

The Ride begins and ends at the junction of Rte 395 and Nine Mile Canyon Rd. Take the turn for Nine Mile Canyon Rd off of 395 and the Staging Area is on your left.

Lodging

The closest town to the Ride start is Ridgecrest - NOT - Kernville.

Ridgecrest is about 23 miles from the Ride start.

If you are looking for a hotel to stay at Friday night before the ride start, we recommend the Marriott Springhill Suites.

Marriott Springhill Suites

This is the only hotel we will stay at in Ridgecrest. Although we usually like Best Westerns, we can't recommend the one in Ridegcrest. The Comfort Inn looked okay. The Marriott is the best though :)

Other Ridgecrest Lodging

Other possible lodging would be in Kernville. It is prettier, but be aware how far away it is from the start of the ride.

Kernville and Lake Isabella Lodging.

There are numerous Campgrounds in the area, along Lake Isabella, the Upper and Lower Kern River, Kern County and the Sequoia National Forest.
